Josh Windram

Painter

Josh works primarily with acrylic paint on canvas and utilises techniques such as bleeding, staining, blending and leafing. Using a selection of brushes, pallet knives and other tools, he brings life to the canvas by introducing texture and vibrant colour to generate mood. Josh’s works portray a strong sense of home and vary greatly depending on the headspace that he is in at that moment.

This exhibition will feature still life paintings of WA’s beautiful flora as well as works that include bottles that contain botanical ingredients. Working from life Miranda creates realistic depictions of her subjects in oils and watercolours. Many of her works are detailed or feature highly patterned fabrics or arrangements of flowers. At times she lights her still life works to add an additional element of interest and drama.

Surrealist painter Robert Stanley creates unique works of art in oil on canvas. A career spanning over 55 years, Robert now specialises in prints of his original works but also has original paintings available. Showing a small collection of ceramic sculpture, stone carvings and laminated drawings, Robert has won many art awards throughout his career and has compiled an autobiography combining a universal life story on Mother Earth.

Cher Shackleton has worked in clay for over 40 years and has wood fired her work for 30 of those years. She recently retired from a long career in teaching ceramics however will continue to work in her own studio and conduct workshops throughout the year.

Leanne's work is a visual storytelling of her journey in art and nature. Each artwork is directed at first by experienced moments and then crafted into the creative narrative. She is primarily a representational artist, although her use of paint is often spontaneous. Leanne works in the paint mediums of oil, acrylics and watercolour with a signature style of vibrant colour and emotive contrasts.

The art of fibre is a journey, each step a new chance for expression. With her spinning wheel Nina uses innovative spinning techniques, incorporating fibers and recycled yarn off cuts to create textures, weaving them into pieces of art to be hung on the wall. Nina feels lucky to have her own friendly alpacas, Alfie and Ralfie - you are more than welcome to meet them. Nina loves to spin their raw alpaca fleece, and weave it into super soft garments. Nina will be demonstrating her spinning and weaving techniques, and looks forward to meeting you.

Worked as a cinematographer, cofounded the Magic Mirror Publishing and Theatre Company, and has over 30 years’ experience in photographing most regions of Australia. Having many exhibitions in this time, his work is included in private collections worldwide. Previously completing an artist residency at Xanadu Wines, he is now primarily specialising in oil and acrylic painting.
