Irene dabbled in art as a working mother; taking night courses at TAFE and endulging in short term art classes with different teachers at Lyndendale Gallery in Crooked Brook.

Moving to Bridgetown in 2011 gave Irene the time and opportunity to paint with increased dedication. The diversity and visible changes in the seasons in the southwest honed her passion for landscapes and flora.

The art community in Bridgetown and surrounding centres is vibrant and encouraging. Irene's ability to exhibit and sell her works has inspired and encouraged her to continue to learn, experiment and enjoy.
