Melinda has been creating hand covered books for many years. This is your opportunity to learn from her experience and find the tips and tricks to fabric covering any book you like.

Use recycled fabric and tie bleached denim from Mel's personal stash.

Leave with a completed notebook ready to use or gift.

Altered Couture Workshop

Join textile Artist and fashion designer Cassi-Jo Davis for the day in her c1920 house, studio and garden to learn how to upcycle your own Jacket for Winter using the techniques Cassi uses in her bespoke clothing range  ‘Django’s Couture’

Using antique and vintage textiles, braids, buttons and embellishments from Cassi’s own collection you will learn about fashion design, appliqué and embroidery techniques. 

At the end of the day you will be able to take home your very own piece of wearable art. 

• BYO Denim, Wool or Suit Jacket that fits you. 

• BYO Sewing machine

  If you have one that lowers the feed dogs/can darn.

• Complimentary Morning/Afternoon Tea and Lunch.

  BYO if specific dietary requirements.

• Glass of Prosecco in the garden at the end of the workshop.

Textile Art Still Life Workshop

Spend the day at a c1920 house, studio and garden emersed in learning the Textile Art techniques artist Cassi Jo Davis uses in her works.

Using vintage and antique textiles from Cassi’s own collection, you will learn drawing, painting on fabric, appliqué and embroidery techniques to produce your own Still Life, set up from the artists antique collection. 

• All materials supplied (welcome to bring any of your own precious pieces) 

• BYO sewing machine if you have one that drops the feed dogs. 

• Complimentary Morning/Afternoon Tea and Lunch. BYO for any special dietary needs.

• Glass of Prosecco in the Garden to end the workshop. 

• Maximum of 5 students.
