Growing up in rural WA I guess has influenced what it is that I love to paint. Music was my form of art until 2013, when I picked up some charcoal and started to draw. I really loved the process and soon tried out chalk pastels. In 2014 I attended a workshop presented by Drewfus Gates and then worked with watercolour and acrylic paints,acrylic paints became my favourite medium. My first drawings were of vintage trucks and cars, and I still love to paint a picture of an old rusty truck. They are icons of Australian rural history. Eucalyptus trees never cease to amaze me and I love to capture their awesomness along with Aussie birds and flowers. I am always keen to try something new so consequently have varying styles, from realism to impressionism to absract. I have entered various art competitions winning ten awards betwee 2014 and 2020.
